Control Alt Access provides individualized blindness and assistive technology training, accessibility guidance, and practical support for people working toward more accessible digital experiences.

Whether you are blind, visually impaired, low vision, supporting someone adjusting to vision loss, or trying to make your content more accessible, you do not need to have everything figured out before getting started.

Accessible digital experiences work best when accessible content and effective assistive technology use work together.

Most services are offered remotely to help keep support flexible, accessible, and affordable.

In-person services may be available depending on location and scheduling. Rates may increase based on travel distance, and sessions outside Sarasota, Charlotte, and DeSoto counties may require a minimum appointment length.

Support for Families and Caregivers

Adjusting to vision loss can be overwhelming for both individuals and the people supporting them.

Control Alt Access works with families, caregivers, and support networks to help build understanding of assistive technology, accessibility practices, and practical strategies for supporting blind, visually impaired, and low vision individuals.

Support may include:

  • Understanding screen readers
  • Learning accessible communication practices
  • Technology recommendations
  • Accessibility guidance for daily tasks
  • Questions about blindness and accessibility tools
  • Support during adjustment to vision loss

The goal is not perfection. The goal is building confidence and practical next steps.

Accessibility Guidance for Small Businesses and Community Groups

Accessibility support should not feel impossible.

Control Alt Access works with small businesses, nonprofits, community groups, creators, and organizations looking for practical ways to improve accessibility without becoming overwhelmed by technical language and compliance jargon.

Guidance may include:

  • Website accessibility guidance
  • Accessible presentations and events
  • Digital document accessibility
  • Accessibility-focused workflows
  • Accessibility reviews and recommendations
  • Accessibility education and training

Accessibility is not a one-time checkbox. It works best as an ongoing process of improvement and adaptation.

Accessible Social Media and Professional Communication

Accessible communication helps more people participate.

Control Alt Access provides guidance for creating more accessible:

  • Social media posts
  • Flyers and digital documents
  • Presentations
  • Email communication
  • Event materials
  • Visual media
  • Online communication workflows

Small improvements can make a meaningful difference for blind, visually impaired, low vision, disabled, and assistive technology users.

Accessibility does not require perfection before progress can begin.

Progress Over Perfection

Accessibility is not a finish line.

There is no website, document, social media post, or organization that is perfectly accessible to every person in every situation. Accessibility works best as an ongoing process of improvement, feedback, and adaptation.

The goal is not perfection on day one. The goal is making meaningful progress and continuing to improve over time.

Whether you are learning assistive technology, adjusting to vision loss, or trying to make your content more accessible, taking the next step matters more than getting everything perfect immediately.
